Endless Summer Foutas Launch
Product Design and Installation - Milan Design Week - 2017
Installation done during MIlan Design Week 2017 sponsored by Blauer USA to launch my first product in collaboration with brand Fouta Heritage! Working with small workshops along the coasts of the Mediterranean with Arabic tradition and craftsmanship to produce foutas: a light hammam-type towel made from 100% cotton, illustrated with tropical patterns designed by me from the tropical beach culture of Brazil to the vintage shores of the Mediterranean.
During the week the foutas invaded Blauer's super cool store in Milan, with a candy-rainbow-forest-like paper installation done together with paper artist Cintia Bertaccini, watermelon seeds on the floor, colourful summer elements and stickers all over the shop and a window art done by myself live during the event. I only had 1 day to build this installation which was only possible thanks to everyone at Blauer, my husband, sister and friends. #dreamteam
