Amarelo Imperial

Milan Design Week 2014

Amarelo Imperial (Imperial Yellow in portuguese)  was an installation for the Milan Design Week part of the Exhibition Brasil 100% – Brazil S/A at Palazzo Giureconsulti. What if Brazil had been discovered by a curious modern dandy? Born from the collaboration between product designer Mellina Makowiecky, fashion designer Karin Danieli and myself, it revisits vintage luxury pieces from Europe with an iconic brazilian freshness. I contributed with the pattern design inside a small vintage trunk, where Portuguese tiles interlace with brazilian elements; and the vintage exclusive stickers applied on the outside of main trunk.
Amarelo imperial is derived from the Luxury Vintage Concept, creative lab of Milan’s Bernardini Luxury Vintage where unique products that tell the story of a time are repurposed and combined with new modern trends.  Bespoke handcrafted custom, entirely made in Italy.
